Job Title : Operator

  1. JOB PURPOSE:

Operate and monitor process plant and facilities in the assigned area as per operating procedures and Company’s HSE standards.

  1. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Plant Operations

Carry out assigned Operational work safely to assigned standards in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). and Operating instructions (SI)
Carry out routine checks on equipment for abnormalities to report defects noted in equipment and contact with immediate reporting supervisor to arrange for servicing.
Adjust and monitor the alternations of speeds, temperatures, pressures level and flow rates as necessary to ensure that normal operation, shutdown and start-up are effectively performed.
Prepare the plant / equipment for maintenance to ensure accurate and proper handover and in synchronization with other equipment and plant.
Receive chemicals, maintain the stock/consumption register and prepare chemical batches required for the process ensuring adherence to procedures and while following all HSE procedures and rules.
Operate related machinery & equipment safely and efficiently as per Company’s standards and instructions.
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Obtain work permits, operator round, E-log and follow up on-going jobs and monitor Contractors activities ensuring adherence to safety regulations and procedures
Act as the first intervention team member to handle the emergency situation and assist in firefighting activities until the arrival of Fire Auxiliary and the off duty firefighting team
Communicate and follow instructions of the Supervisor to carry out duties efficiently and safely.
Shutdown the process units safety in case of emergency, including activation of emergency shutdown system.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.
Training

Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures and functional processes.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.
Housekeeping

Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during operations, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
Reports

Provide inputs to prepare progress reports for Company Management.
Prepare various Key Performance Indicator (KPI) checklists for management.

  1. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal

Regular work related contact with immediate Supervisor and other Department staff as required, and team members on matters related to Department Policies, Processes, and Procedures.
External

  1. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
    Minimum Qualification

Technical Diploma in Chemical / Process discipline or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

4 years of experience in Plant Operations in Oil & Gas Industry.
Extensive experience in with various plant operation procedures in Oil and Gas environment.
Functional and Operational skills, good communication skills, good interpersonal skills.
Scheduling and coordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording.
Intermediate level in English language.
Working with Tools and Technology.
